Here at VIP Functions & Flowers we have over 20 years experience in the wedding & events industry. Based in the Midlands and having an ever growing team, gives us the flexibility to work not only locally, but nationally and internationally too. We work exceptionally well as a team and we are all confident that we can create your perfect wedding!
After starting out as a supplier of balloons décor in 2008, the home-based business quickly expanded into providing chair cover and sash hire as well as centre pieces and the supply of venue décor items. In 2011, when the house became uncomfortably full of boxes and storage units, Sarah – the founder (read more about her below!) made the decision to move into business premises. She found a beautiful old building – a former pressings factory that had just been refurbished; set back from the road in a quiet leafy corner just outside Redditch town centre; where we still have our showroom, along with work rooms and storage. It was at this time that we became a preferred supplier at The Abbey Hotel, Golf & Spa in Redditch – A lovely 4* Hotel providing a stunning wedding setting. We’re happy to say that we still provide chair covers and sashes for many couples every year as part of their wedding package with the Abbey; and we will be continuing to do so certainly throughout 2015 and 2016 and hopefully for many more years to come.
The business continued to grow, providing our services at many other venues for hundreds of brides & grooms as well as businesses too.
In 2012 we added floristry to our repertoire of services on offer, as well as forming excellent relationships with other suppliers in the industry, such as Gentleman’s Outfitters, Make-up Artists and Hair & Beauty Salons.
In February 2014 we really wanted to step up our game so we took a huge stand at the National Wedding Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Wow! We’re so glad we did! I don’t think our heads have stopped spinning since then and we now do the show every Spring and Autumn!
Summer of 2015 brings the arrival of our brand new wedding stationary ranges which we will be featuring at the National Wedding Show in October 2015.
This show also see’s the launch of another side of the business – a purely online based wedding supplies website, allowing our customers that want to do some or all of the décor their selves, the opportunity to purchase professional quality supplies at affordable retail prices. You’ll be able to buy things like favour boxes, confectionary, artificial bouquets, table crystals, petals, ribbons, stationary, material and much more! 2016 will see the addition of items available for hire through this website, such as chair covers & sashes, vintage tea set hire, glassware, linen and anything else we add to our hire range between now and then.
